Seals for pneumatics
The presence in the pneumatic cylinders of very low pressures, often high speeds and little or no lubrication require the use of gaskets with specially designed profiles even if made with materials similar to those used in hydraulic. In nitrile rubber the S-DE gaskets for piston, S-DI for stem and the complete piston type P.M.P are made. These details are still widely used due to their low cost and ease of assembly. The seals for GPP piston and for GSP stem are made of polyurethane.
In the same material, three other details are available:
- bidirectional scrapers type RBP - BCG - RCA
- type scrapers RCG
Finally, the S-LAC seals for S-LAP piston rods are made of PTFE filled with graphite and energized by an O-RING. Although of higher cost, why? they require more accurate processing PTFE seals solve problems of high speed, lack of lubrication or where very low friction values ??are essential.
